Parish Council web site

[ Web site ]The Parish Council provides an internet web site for people living in, working in, visiting, or just interested in Barton Stacey.

Find out about:

Why

The web site aims to:

  • provide a focal point for information about Barton Stacey
  • increase awareness of parish news, events, activities, and service both within the parish and further afield
  • provide a focus use of the internet within the parish by the young, the elderly, and those with little or no experience of computers

Where and what

The site with has two addresses - www.bartonstacey.com and www.bartonstacey.parish.hants.gov.uk.

The site provides:

  • information about the parish - activities, services, businesses, history
  • a calendar of parish events - sports, social, cultural, community
  • a community notice board - open to anyone in the parish to publicise their own interests, activities, services etc
  • details of parish council activities, council members, and minutes of meetings
  • details of the parish church and parish school
  • links to other related web sites

Operation

The site was designed and built by people in the parish - with editorial content coming from many contributors.

[ Andy Glenister ]Andy Glenister (picture right) serves as the webmaster and maintains the site.

Andy says "To publicise the site, I put up posters on all the parish notice boards."

Web space is provided by Hampshire County Council.

Further contributions for the site are welcome from anyone in the parish - simply use the feedback page or phone Andy Glenister.
