Cygnets Playgroup

[ Cygnets ]Cygnets Playgroup is managed by a parent run Committee and is for children aged 2 years nine months to 5 years.

[ Cygnets ]We meet in Barton Stacey Village Hall and we are open during school term time Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm.

Cygnets Playgroup is a registered Charity and is also a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and has achieved their Aiming For Quality Accreditation Award.

Our latest Ofsted Inspection said that the “Quality and Standards of Care an Education are Good”. A full copy of the report can be found on the Ofsted Website under Children’s Daycare Providers at www.ofsted.gov.uk/reports.

The aims of our Playgroup are to provide a happy, secure and varied learning environment. The curriculum of the playgroup aims to enable all children to reach their full potential. This is achieved by a programme of ‘Learning Through Play’, giving each individual child the opportunity to explore, to investigate. To experience and to gain confidence in understanding their world. Children are encouraged to choose activities in all areas of development and learning, supported by a team of qualified and caring adults.

Links have been forged with the local Church of England Primary School. By working in partnership with the school we hope to ensure a smooth transition from playgroup to primary school.
