Comment

  • This project will be a 5 to 10 year process and expensive for a village of our size.
  • External funding through grant aid will be essential as will the support of the whole community in fundraising.
  • There will be inevitable competition for local funding eg. The Church and income generation for the village hall.
  • There is a current unmet demand for the village hall and arrangements should be made for making the present sports pavilion more available.
  • A specialist community body should be created to administer the project and drive it forward comprised of a cross section of the community, including young people - perhaps from the youth forum?
