The closure is required for "haunching" - repairing the edges of the road which have been worn away, and for patching worn out areas of the road itself. While the work is being carried out reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises (eg Difford Kennels, the byway from Difford to Bransbury, Bullington Manor beats). Did you know? The official road number for the main road through the village is the C87. The alternative route (recommended by the Test Valley Borough Council if entering Barton Stacey off the A303 from the North) is:
