25 Sep 2002 Web site collects award
The judges, in awarding the certificate, stated that the Barton Stacey web site "is a well designed, comprehensive, up-to-date and extremely practical site" The awards were presented at the Community Action Hampshire Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 25 September 2002 at Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney. The competition, organised by Community Action Hampshire, attracted entries from 43 villages, and focussed on five aspects of community life, including Information Technology. The overall winner of the competition was Grayshott, with Abbots Ann winning the Information Technology section, who both now go on to represent Hampshire in the national competition, sponsored by Calor.
