10 Sep 2002 Web site wins award - again!

The Barton Stacey parish council web site has won an award in the Hantsweb Awards 2002 competeition organised by Hampshire County Council to recognise web site excellence in the county.

This follows the recent success as runner up in the Information Technology section of the Hampshire Village of the Year 2002 competition.

The Hantsweb Awards 2002 competition attracted over 500 entrants in 10 categories. The Barton Stacey award in the Town or Parish council category is either for first place or runner up - we won't know which until the presentation ceremony on 10 October at 14:00 in the Theatre Royal, Winchester.

The judges looked for websites that are Hampshire based, work well and are easy to use, are accessible to all, contain information which is relvant, useful and up-to-date, provide a useful service to the audience and demonstrate good design skills.
