11 Aug 2002 Web site receives award
The Barton Stacey parish web site has been Highly Commended in the Information Technology in the Hampshire Village of the Year 2002 competition. The competition, organised by Community Action Hampshire, attracted entries from 43 villages, and focussed on five aspects of community life, including Information Technology. The judges, in awarding the certificate, stated that the Barton Stacey web site "is a well designed, comprehensive, up-to-date and extremely practical site" The overall winner of the competition was Grayshott, with Abbots Ann winning the Information Technology section, who both now go on to represent Hampshire in the national competition, sponsored by Calor. We send our congratulations to both villages, and wish them continued success. The awards will be presented at Community Action Hampshire Annual General Meeting at 10.00 on Wednesday 25 September 2002 at Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney. For more information
