Judo is not an expensive sport to practice. Our club funds have purchased new mats, it pays for belts and subsidises the cost of the judo suits (judogis) After the cost of the hall hire all funds are for club use. We have had a fund raising event and a number of outings (bowling, laser quests/crystal maze) B-B Qs and last year I had a mental breakdown and agreed to take them camping for the weekend, in Sussex. There were e 30 children who all cooked and mucked in and we ran an inter-tent competition for the best overall team with football, rounders and quiz nights Also tent tidying (which was a challenge for most) One day was spent at a nearby theme park . Thanks to the parents who helped out too.
Great fun was had by all even if the adults are still on medication.
We had our first Christmas disco in December 2000 (did you hear us?) Trevor was particularly fond of Bob the Builder!! Thanks to Babette for preparing the food and drinks
