Minutes of the Annual Genera; Meeting of the Barton Stacey Parish Council held on Tuesday 15th May 2007 at 7.30 p.m. Mrs Julia Hebden, retiring Chairman, welcomed all the newly elected councillors and Declarations of Acceptance of Office were collected by the Clerk 1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN Cllr Paul Gibson was nominated by Cllr Eastman, seconded by Cllr Drinkwater and duly elected. He then took over the Chair, thanking Mrs Hebden for her participation 2.ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN Cllr Wayne Wreglesworth was proposed by Cllr Goodall and seconded by Cllr Drinkwater. Cllr Nick Goodall was proposed by Cllr Connor and seconded by Cllr Coetzee. Following a show of hands Cllr Goodall was elected. 3. MINUTES Minutes of AGM dated 15th May 2006 were duly noted. 4. PARISH APPOINTMENTS Parish Council appointments were unanimously agreed: Website: Andy Glenister, Finance: Cllr Connor; Village Hall Liaison: Cllr Gibson; Playground: Cllr Goodall; Footpaths: Cllr Eastman; Trees: Cllr Goodall to oversee and liaise with Dennis Dewey; Planning: Cllr Lovell; PCC Liaison and Transport; Cllr Gibson to confirm that Terry Dewey will continue. 5. ANNUAL DIARY A copy of the annual diary dates circulated to all councillors. 6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS (a) Cllr Lovell questioned attendance at HAPTC meetings. Clerk to advise on future dates. (b) Letters received by all election candidates regarding 954 uncounted postal votes in TVBC was noted. Next action is detail of split of vote between Borough and Parishes. Further action currently with TVBC but Court permission required to open these votes. There being no further business the AGM closed at 8.00 p.m. |
