Minutes of a meeting of Barton Stacey Parish Council held on Tuesday 16th August 2005 at Virginia Cottage, Barton Stacey

1. APOLOGIES

Cllr Dewey.

2. ANNUAL RETURN

The details which had been circulated were considered and it was agreed that Staff Costs should be recorded as Nil as the Clerk is not an employee, that the expenditure listed should be added to total other payments (making a total sum of £17860) and an explanation added to the list of Significant Variations.

Subject to the amendments discussed and completion of Internal Audit, Cllr Lovell proposed approval of Statement of Accounts and Annual Return for the year ended 31st March 2005. Seconded by Cllr Gibson and agreed unanimously.

Cllr Glenister suggested future amendments to simplify the accounting system, and to endeavour to allow end of year accounts to be presented to the Parish Council in May of each succeeding year.

3. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

(a) Plans for Ash Farm House were considered and approved subject to the constraints of Listed Building and Conservation Area regulations regarding materials and fenestration.

(b) It was reported that the grant application for external painting and replacement of guttering at the village hall had been approved to 50% of the cost involved.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 19.50 p.m.

The next Parish Council meeting would be held on Tuesday 20th September 2005 commencing at 7.30 p.m.
